Champions of Norath

Champions of Norrath is by far the best multiplayer game for Play Station 2 I have ever seen. Being able to play with up to four players is awsome, especially at camp, where there are tons of people that want to play. I bought this game for one reason, and that was because it was a four player game. I guess that's not the only reason, I also thought that it looked a lot like Diablo II, so I thought I'd buy it and try it out at camp. It ended up being a HUGE hit. My favorite gamer buddy, Nate, and I started by ourselves in early June, but by August, there were at least 20 different characters saved on my memory card. Now, I wil admit that both Nate and I had two characters, but that's still sixteen other people that were playing this game!

The fact is, I couldn't keep anyone out of my tent. At any time during the day, there was someone in my tent playing Chapions of Norath, or perhaps Ratchet and Clank "Up Your Arsenal," but there was usually some three or four player game of Champions going on. It was fun to see so many people interested in the game, but the constant flow of people was hard on my nerves, and my time on the game was also getting cut short, because there were so many people that wanted to play, and there were some parts of the game that I played many times over.

It actually took me all summer to beat, which is saying something. I may have played the first act ten times, but I did have my own game that I played by myself, and I thought I was getting pretty far. It turns out that it's just as long as Diablo II, having five acts. In the end, you have to kill "Hatred," which is also like Diablo II, because Diablo was the Lord of Hatred. Needless to say, the game kept my attention, and that of many other people.

This game I most definitely recomend to everyone. As I said within the Diablo II page, there are many games that are like Diablo II, but few can come close to matching it. This game is very close to being as good as Diablo II. I think that the only things that make Diablo II better are the fact that it can be played online and the fact that there are more ways to customise your character.
