What If?
What if it does?
What if the End isN’t?
What if we cry?
What if we doN’t?

The tears are from the fear,
and we’re all afraid to lose
what we worked so hard to build.
But what if we doN’t?
What if we caN’t cry, woN’t?
Does that mean we doN’t care?
DidN’t we work? DidN’t we build?

What if it does?
What if this is the End,
and every bridge we built is ruined?
What if we burnt them ourselves,
in an attempt to make this less painful?
What if this does mark the End?
What if we walk out and forget?
What happens Next?

What if the End isN’t?
What if by some chance we’re only Beginning?
What if this is just a crossroad?
If it is, please doN’t go the other way,
because if you do then this does End,
and if it Ends then we all cry,
and the tears would be from sorrow.

We all mourn life in separation;
we all lament for those we call friends.
