Diablo II
No gamer is complete without playing some form of Role Playing Game set in the "Dark Ages." Diablo II is an awsome game to play, and it can be played quite a few different ways. Basically, this is the sequal to another game, Diablo, where the main character has to go on quests and eventually defeat a devil-like monster called Diablo in the town of Tristram. Apparently, the game was a hit, and people couldn't get enough of it, so Diablo II was released. This second game is much better then the first. I recomend that everyone try it at least once, because there's a lot of games like it, but few can come close to matching Diablo II. You don't even need to play the first game to understand what's going on in the second, I just basically told you all that's really important in the first game, and the second game explains everything. The story line is actually amazing for a computer game, and if I'm not mistaken there has been a book series released based off of the games. With seven character classes, and four ways to play, this game will keep your attention for quite some time. The classes are sorceress, barbarian, assassin, necromancer, paladin, druid, and amazon, and each one can be customized to the way you like to play. Every character has fifty or so spells to learn, and you can choose what spells you want to learn, and what spells you want to make stronger. There are also tons of different items. All that promises for a different experience every time you play. You can choose to play by yourself, or with friends. Or, you can choose to use Battle.net to play with other gamers throughout the world. There are two ways to play on Battle.net, either fully online, where your character is saved to the server, or by using your character on your computer. Unfortunately, if you play using the character saved on your computer, many other people cheat, using what are called "Hacked" items that are too powerful to be found within the actual game, and these people make the game less fun. Fortunately, by playing with server-based characters, the amount of cheating is drastically decreased, and the game can be a lot more fun. Once again, I recomend everyone check out Diablo II. Play it till you beat it, then play it again on the next mode. I can't say that I've played many games that are better than Diablo II. |
